I recently upgraded to Google Earth Pro after seeing here that Pro was now free, but I'm having trouble printing maps. When I click the print icon, the following dialog box pops up:
The problem is, the map never prints. Any ideas?
**I un-installed and then re-installed the program and now it works. Thanks for the suggestions fellas.

Just save the image first. Then print.

Is it printing to a file and sticking it in some obscure folder by chance?
I use powerpoint to group and ungroup different culture sets and when I'm ready to print it prints to a pdf file I then have to go open with acrobat to print the "picture" of the map and it's displayed layers.

I get the same prompt when I try to save to as a PDF.

Are you trying to save by clicking the save button or through the print button?

Could be, but I don't think it's getting that far. Got my IT guy coming anyway, probably just going to have him work out the kinks. It's probably something simple, and he'll look at me like an idiot.

It started doing that to me yesterday, could be a glitch of some kind.
Normally I expect something like that to be an issue on my end, but nothing had changed and then later it worked. Seeing that you are getting the same issue makes me think they may have changed something.
I'm NOT an IT guy.
eta...I see you are using Earthpoint, that thing is handy!

I've tried it by clicking print tab, then "Save PDF" and by going to File>Save>Save Image. I get the same prompt either way.

Mine is working now, I can't honestly remember what I did to get it back working. Might have gone in and reset my printer, or told it to save to a different file. I normally save PDF then print the PDF.

Interesting. Don't know what to tell you. Save Image works for me.

What is the snipping tool and how do you use it?
I use ArcMap everyday, but I like the idea of quickly being able to generate a basic map with Google Earth, just need to get more familiar with it.

I would just snip it or copy the entire page into MS paint, then crop the image to Word and print it that way.

Start - Snipping Tool. Should be a standard program on Windows 7 and up.
It just lets you cut out a pic from whatever screen you are looking at and save it as an image.
ETA: That's what I usually do for a quick 8.5x11" map for our field crews in the morning.

Thanks for the heads up. That will get me by until I figure out why I can't print or save directly from Google Earth.
