May be trading a Sig P239 .40 cal. for a Mathews FX bow. The pistol is worth at least $500.

Bow has all the bells and whistles, been used only a few times. 12 arrows also.

Price wise it seems like a good trade.

I'd rather have the Sig, but if I was in the market for a bow I'd make the trade. Make sure the bow fits you right. If not, you may have to fork out a good bit of money to get it fitted to you.

The Sig is my truck gun, very few rounds threw it. Not really crazy about the double action first pull. Too heavy for a carry gun IMO. Only thing is, my wife bought it for me. Did some research on the FX, it was discontinued in 2005. That makes me a little reluctant, my draw length is 30.5 and I dont want to restring it if it is too short.

Bows depreciate like crazy, unless you really need a bow and hate the gun I wouldnt take that trade..

yeah keep the piece man, I am sure you can find a used bow really cheap, like we both said, they are worthless in a year or two, the pistol will only increase in value

guns hold and go up in value. Bows, not so much.
But if you will use the bow more, then get the bow.

Don't have a whole lot of cash to drop on a new bow right now, a gun I dont like seemed like a good bargaining chip. I think I'm gonna wait and see what else comes up. I would be just starting out with a bow, I've rifle and blackpowder hunted for years, I wanted to give bowhunting a shot.
