I'm traveling down HWY 90 from Lafayette to Grand Isle in the morning and looking to stop and play a round of golf in between. I know of Atchafalaya in Patterson, but are there any other courses along the way?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions. Sorry if this is the wrong board, but I'm also open to reports on the specks...

From what I remember, LATour is private only. I always played in Patterson. Lot of fun to play on a Friday morning on the way to the island. Wish they had a few more courses along the way

Squirrel Run in New Iberia is a nice course, not sure if it's private tho. Web.com tour is playing @ LeTriumph in Broussard, so you can catch some really good players, if you wanna watch

They kinda let Squirrel Run go. I played it not long ago. It used to be a 27 hole course. It's back to the original 18 holes, but not in great shape.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Squirrel Run is only 18 holes now? Damn, that place has a great lay out, but they let it go to shite.

OP go play Atchafalaya

Played there back in October. This. It is a borderline goat ranch now.

Man, I hate hearing that, was a fun course. I guess Atachafalaya is the best, remaining choice.

Go to Houma Golf Club..the old Cooper's off Alma Street in Houma. The only course where you lose you ball in the fairway!

Spanish Trail is in far better shape than the public courses in Lafayette. I ended up playing in Patterson. Great course. Grabbed a Frank's bloody and my happy arse is on the way to the island.
