Glock 19 Gen 4 Upgrade Question

Purchased my first semi auto and shot it at the range today for the first time. I think I made a wise choice.
I've ordered the extended slide release and slide stop lever which seems to be the most common and easiest modifications. Slide release upgrade seemed like a no brainer, but I may return the slide stop as I've really had no difficulty with the stock part.
Also have my eye on the Trijicon night sights. Is it necessary to change both rear and front sights or would just the front sight be an adequate upgrade?
Any suggestions for additional modifications from those of you who own the G19 would be appreciated.

Change both if you want to hit something in the dark.

Well, when you put it that way

Change the sights and nothing else.
Glocks dint take kindly to non factory modifications.

I don't own a 19, but have a few other glock models. Some people go crazy with the stuff they put into them, but shoot it for a while stock before you do any changes. Then you'll know what you want to add as opposed to what you think you need.
Oh, and if you plan on having it for defense at home I would suggest a light for it. Night sights are great for lining up your shot, but they don't let you identify your target (which is quite important)

Yup, that's why there are companies dedicated to only modding Glocks and offering their aftermarket Glock parts widely used in the public with no problems.

The first thing I would do is get a new trigger. I've got a Pyramid in my 17. It's legit and makes a massive difference.

I bet Chris Costa could do magical things with those rigs

Did you really order a slide stop and slide release for a glock?

buy magazines, night sights is a good idea (front and back btw)
All the other crap I'd personally just forget about.
The best thing you can do with that gun is shoot it.

Picked up another 2 magazines today. I foresee birthdays, Father's Day and Christmas consisting of mainly mags and ammo for a while.
Definitely going to shoot it stock for a while as I've already discovered I probably jumped the gun (pun intended) on aftermarket parts. Makes sense to feel it out.
I suppose I don't know yet what I'm missing as far as the trigger goes as it's my first semi auto. But compared to the heavy .357 trigger I'm used to the Glock trigger is like heaven.
Not sure if it will ever be my primary home defense firearm as my 20 gauge 870 fits the bill for that purpose pretty well. I've enjoyed doing some modifications on it for HD. If so the light will be a must.
