Could you imagine the meat haul you could have there in the time it takes to finish the 1.5 hour tour?

I wouldn't eat any of those poor animals.

"poor"?
Get fed every hour from 9-4 every day. Protected and sheltered areas.
Onsite health care...
They got it made!

The meat that interested me the most was Beefalo.
It's a hybrid between an Angus beef cow and a Bison.

My boss is friends with the owner and a big bowhunter. He said he goes out there occasionally and shoots some when they start to get too crowded. Said they breed and make more animals and have to get the population in check occasionally.

Back in high school, we took a field trip out there. Wagon train ran over a sheep. Driver didnt live it down for the rest of the tour.

I'm pretty sure that doesn't happen. I would think that they sell quite a few exotics to ranches and use the proceeds for feed and education purposes, and also to get new animals in with different genetics. I know a few people that have worked/work there and the owner is a cool guy. He helps his employees with college if I'm not mistaken. Either way, it's a great place for kiddos.

We did the private tour. The girl told us they aren't legally allowed to be shot for food value.

He never told me they eat them, he just said they go shoot them with bows.

They have barriers in front of the wheels now that hang from the chassis. Kind of a wedge shape that forces them to the sides and out from under the cars. It's rut season and them Fallow deer were going nuts on each other. Several times they went to fighting under the car and it sounded like a heard if buffalo under there.

I know some of the exotics get sold to 2 Brothers Ranch for hunting purposes. I have a buddy that manages there....he never mentioned getting to hunt them, but if one has to be put down for injury they are allowed to eat it

I've personally eaten black buck, fallow, and axis from babies that were killed by zebras or the cold wet days in the winter. The same buddy bootlegger is talking about told me that he's been doing a tour for a school field trip and a zebra kicked a fallow doe right in the dome and killed her. He couldn't get away fast enough! The jeeps tours are bad arse.

They're called cow catchers and were standard equipment on old locomotives.

Zebra and giraffe would be the best tasting meats there
