I usually find a stick on the trail and use that.
Unfortunately this is usually my role. I'm generally good at spotting the spider webs but one time I missed a big one and ended up with a huge banana spider on my forehead. After running around like a crazy person, swiping my head over and over to get the demon bug off of me, I turn around and my hiking partner is laughing so hard he could barely breath. I haven't missed a spider web since.

Those banana spider webs may be the stickiest thing in the woods. I wear a head net sometimes just for that in the morning.
