Place your bets. Pump or semi? Surprising which top 3 came out to be. Nice selection of shotguns tested. I still think the SPAS 12 is the coolest of them.

Had an 870 Remington freeze up due to freezing rain. Fix was to not go out when temp is less than 40.

I got soaked turkey hunting with mine. The wood in the foregrip swelled up and turned it in to a single shot.

Save us the bullshite. What were the results?

I'm going guess gas operated semi autos did best? Assuming they were all repeaters.

Out of the hunting shotguns tested the M2 was the best performing.

As someone who shoots and M2 that made me smile

The KUSA Konrad which is a Saiga S12 clone took first, the Gen 12 AR style shotgun was next and a good ole double barrel came in 3 rd.

Spas 12 still the coolest of them. The Terminator shotgun.

All the YouTube fellating that the Benelli M4 gets and it shite the bed almost as bad as the 870. Then the damn Turkish ripoff clone performed better than both of the M4 variants tested.

What a fitting joke.

The old hammer less double barrel did pretty well also, but one of the triggers froze and made it a single shot open breach shotgun.

The 870 was all time embarrassing.

Other than the AR and AK variants, the SPAS and the Beretta 1301 were the best autos.

Start using trans fluid for gun oil, dextron or type f, it wont freeze up.

As someone who hunted ducks in -10 the only gun i have seen not cycle was a sbe. Often the 3rd shot wouldn't cycle. 391 and 870 were fine, guns were kept dry, no ice etc. Big water like the st Lawrence r is open at those temps

That casts some doubt on the results for me. Did the pumps not fire, or would they not cycle? You can always make a pump cycle. It's either going to cycle, something is going to break, or you aren't pushing hard enough. I'd expect an 870/590/Nova/BPS to all do very well.

they poured water in the actions. bullshite test. The 870 was sticky on the cheaper ammo they had, though. I’d buy the 870 before accepting 100 free mossturds.

The 500 series mossbergs are very good shotguns. Butt arse ugly but they are very reliable. The 590A1 is an awesome shotgun/boat paddle/ hammer.
