Got to fish a couple hours yesterday before the rain. I decided to throw a frog for the day. I did see a boat in the Reed Canal area that had a 2 man limit throwing inline buzz baits, gold with a chartreuse skirt, on the points and about 50 yards in the canals. They didn't have any size to them though. Hope you enjoy.

Goggle Eye. That's why I haven't been flippin plastic in that area. They will destroy your bag of baby brush hogs in no time.

It looked fun, I just can't get into freshwater fishing like that. Seeing a red crush a bait in 2 feet of water blows away anything I've ever experienced fishing in freshwater.

FYI: I've switched to the sebile pivot frog and have had a huge increase in hook ups over the classic double hook set up. It has a nice dog walk to it as well.

I grew up with a pond in our neighborhood so I fished a lot; freshwater is what I love. I hit the salt as well and agree the reds hit hard and put up a good fight. There is not much like filling a box with specks either. Some of my fall spots are about to turn on around the Chalmette area. Hopefully I can make a trip there within a couple weeks.

It holds so tight to the body i have not noticed any problems with the hydrilla or the lilly pads.

I saw this post this morning and made me drag my boat down to the spillway.... Never fished there on my own before and it showed. 1 bass and 1 perch. I was clueless on where to fish
