Found a half sunk flatboat

Does anybody know what to do if you found a lost or abandoned boat. It has numbers but the last registration sticker was 2005.
Gonna call the ldwf in a few, but wanted to know if anyone on the OB has done this

Where did you find it? Might be from Katrina...

It's inland but could have been from Katrina/Rita

I think you have to advertise it in a local paper for a time, if no calls, you'll have to begin the re-registration.

Yea it an Alweld. Seemingly no holes, just upside down. Gonna call and alert the green jeans, just to make sure that if someone wants it back they have that option, otherwise I may have me a new boat
