For those with T-tops...

I'm looking to add a t-top for my boat but the Stryker I was looking at negates the ability for me to use the 6 rod holders in my console. Has anyone else bought an aftermarket t-top that still lets you use your rod holders?

how big is your boat? isn't it 21' if so a t top is going to make fishing off back deck tight. I know on my boat it would. I can see 24' and up boats using them and still having space but on a smaller bay boat it just gets cramped. much easier to put a top up and down imo. but its your boat if you want one there are plenty of companies that offer nice custom t tops

Custom is the way to go, you can get it exactly how you want.

Fishmaster sells gromets so console rod holders can still be used.

When you have a bunch of rods in the console...a t-top doesn't take up that much more space IMO.

Does the top rail run where the rod tips would be?
Maybe you can get a upholstery shop to cut some holes for the rods to run through?

Yeah, I should've clarified. I just put a fishmaster top on my boat and am very satisfied.

Not if you're fishing in the front.
If you're the one stuck in the back it is a different story. I wouldn't want to fish 3 out of that boat with the top.

exactly what he said. I can fish four out of my boat just fine and 3 even better. with rods sticking up in the holders I usually have no issue being the people I bring watch before they cast, the t top will always be the way and the people who are not fishing on the front deck will have a hard time casting.

I have a leaning post with 6 rocket launchers and 6 more on my T-top so that's what I use. I like those fishmaster grommets I may get 6 of those. The ones in my leaning post launchers sometimes get in the way when you fish the back of the boat.
