what is the best seed to plant where there is not too much sunlight

I've been trying to figure this out for a long time. The best luck I've had in shaded areas is rye grass

Definately ryegrass, I just got done doing the same thing. Found an open area in the woods, threw it on nontilled ground and waiting for it to get cold enough to pop. You could grow that stuff on a damn concrete slab.

Wintergrazer rye works in sandy, acidic soil with partial sunlight. It will even grow in your truck bed if its as dirty as mine.
