Doesn't look good. Marine wind forecast is 15-25 knots all weekend with 3-5 seas. Best bet is going to be protected ponds. Good reports on reds in Yellow Cotton Bay a couple weeks ago. Assuming water is still clear up there, you should catch them. River on a slight rise, so clean water for bass will be once the tide pulls clean water out the roseau in the ponds. Good luck.

I was about to post the same thing. Going Saturday, all inshore. Am I wasting my time? I haven't been in a while. I am hearing the specks are scarce without a long boat ride to breton sound/island. I'm ok with reds and bass too though.

Just got back from Port Eads area. Found some semi-clear water close to SW Pass and caught a bunch of rat reds, most under 16 inches but a ton of fun, some trout and some sheepshead. Fun trip...high East wind.

Rat reds were abundant. Said f all this around 11 and headed back to the camp. Miserable conditions
