What kind of fish can you catch in the tchefuncte? I don't really care to keep them, just want to go relax and catch something.

north of the interstate early in the morning is best bet
you can catch anything you normally catch in a river
weekdays even better

South of hwy 22 is a nice grass mat. Friend of mine caught a 10lber last week along with 8 other nice bass.

Kayaked all over them there the other day. Fish were everywhere feeding in the grass.
