We're gonna be in Blue Mtn. Be., Fla. next week for vacation. Anybody ever fish those coastal lakes of Hwy 30A.

Yes. Fishing can be good, but it is so hot, you need to get out early. Water temps will keep fishing down.
Go to Yellowfin Ocean Sports just down the road at Watercolor, or the Grayton Location on 30A. They should be able to tell you what is biting and on what in the lakes.
Don't be afraid to get up early and simply water the beach looking for "nervous water"...or schools of fish. Big schools of reds, jacks, bluefish and even bonita will congregate right at shore. You basically sight cast into the school with a DOA shrimp or a gold spoon.
Plus, you get some exercise in walking as well.

I've seen Bonita beach themselves chasing bait in that area.

About twenty feet past the sand bar, people had waded out over the sand bar to about waist deep
You could see em. I didn't mess w em, I ran the pompano sand flea in the first trough pattern that yielded nothing. I did hang one big arse pompano tgst got off. It ruined me.
I can catch sand fleas by the hundreds
I was a spectator to the lady fish slaying
