Fishers of Men Bass Tournament in Verret

Heard thru the grapevine that the winners of the Fishers of Men bass tournament that was held Saturday on the Verret side were DQ'd a few days later and had to return the winning checks. My guy didnt have any details. Any scoop out there?

I heard they were accused of fishing south of 90 and had to take a lie detector this week.

It's a shame anyone would cheat to win a bass tournament - especially that kind (or any fundraiser).

Cheating in a fishing tournament is fricking low and it happens every year.
If found guilty they should tie the guys up and let every other fisherman in the tournament kick them in balls

No rumor. The guys went south of 90. It was pretty obvious when the big black backs were held up. The tournament director had no choice but to follow up and the threat of the lie detector made them admit to it. The money was returned. I do not know about charges being pressed or not.
These guys fish a lot of tournaments in the area so I hope this hasn't been going on long. They are in the Mediabass circuit I am fishing this year as well. I'm curious to see how they are treated if they continue to fish them.

I hope so. There was a tournament today and I was told if they showed up they would be told to kick rocks.
