we are hosting a conference in New Orleans Oct 4-8...would like to take 4-8 people on a near shore/bay fishing charter for specs and reds.....I fish Grand Isle mainly in spring early summer, whats the action like early fall? And is Grand Isle the closest/best option using downtown New Orleans as our starting point?

charter recommendations appreciated

Thanks

Josh Galt with Scale Damage. Dude is one of the best out there. He does guided boat trips, bowfishing trips and duck hunts during the winter.

Best time of the year for Lake Ponchatrain Trout or Dularge is about 1:30-1:45 minutes away. Marty Lacoste will put you on some Big Trout and Reds.

You can be in Lafitte in 35 min from downtown NOLA. Capt. Ripp Blank is really good for reds. Usually catch limits with him.

Hard not to recommend Lafite for its ode proximity to New Orleans. I don't know many guides there but theophile bourgeois has a large operation there and the area is normally great that time of year.
