The wife and I went to Reggio on Thursday morning. Like Crazy Mike always says "You aint gotta go far!" This is one of the few times I've found those words to be true. We both caught our limit of trout within about an hour and a half. 13 to 16 inch for the most part, with a few throwbacks. We used live shrimp, but I bet plastics would have worked just as well, with how fast they were biting. I went out into the marsh and caught a few bass and a 26 inch red, but threw those back because I don't think I had room in the bag.
I got a new Hobie Outback. I have to say it's a vast improvement over my old one. Though, I haven't really gotten to put it through it paces, yet, considering we didn't have to go far.

Is it easy to stay out of the wind and still stay in the fish at Reggio?

Yes and No. You can usually find places to catch bass and reds that are protected, but not the trout so much.
