Get her a Daisy, the smaller Buck model fit my 5yr old.

There are two versions of the Red Rider bb guns.
one is a much shorter gun with shorter barrel and a more compact stock. get that one.

Low power bb/pellet rifle till 7 to learn safety and shooting fundamentals. After that a higher power pellet gun or a single shot 22. YouTube has some good videos on matching the right first time rifle to your child.

I bet Bapple doesn't have a video comparing the versions of Red Ryder BB guns.

Get her the little pellet gun with the scope. Santa brought my daughter one. Now she is good at finding things in the scope and eye relief and that stuff. Has made transitioning to a hunting rifle very natural for her.

Where's the video of girl shooting her instructor at the gun range with the semi auto. Your welcome. Five years old! Let her play with dolls you dumb arse. When she's 10, then introduce her to guns.

airsoft rifle....teach her all of the safety rules, and let her loose...

It was actually a fully automatic Uzi. That's not something that should ever be put in a young person's hands. The instructor was at fault, plain and simple.

Can't weasel my way out of this one...

I started my kid out at 5 with an air soft and taught him how to handle it. He's done exceptionally well with it. I'm thinking about taking him to the range in the next few weeks and let him shoot my 22. I also have my youth 20 gauge from when I was a kid, not sure if he's ready for that yet though.

He's working on it. I've seen the outline
