Am I expected to tip the guide? If so how much? The guide is the owner of the guide service so he's already getting a big chunk of money from me.
Thanks in advance!
Thanks in advance!

I go by the 15% rule.
15% is for standard service. More for a great trip, less if the guide is an a-hole.

Nice.
Full day 100 dollar tip if he puts you on good fish and does a good job of helping everyone on board and keeping boat clean, or if he constantly moves around trying to get you on fish and does a great job otherwise.
50 dollar tip if he only does part of the above.
The more trouble or inexperienced your anglers and the more he does to help the higher the tip.
This time of year Anglers are capable throwing top waters and swim baits under birds for schooling fish will be key for getting on hybrids.
If he resorts to bouncing slabs on the bottom for a handful of white bass he has given up for the day.
If you want catfish, then make sure to ask in advance as most guides will not target them or even bring bait to target them.

Thanks for the info!
Their normal full day plan is Catfish in the morning and hybrids, etc. the rest of the day. This guy is known for catching monster cats on that lake.

Pay a lot of attention to the setup and bring a gps with you. He'll become your best friend for showing such an interest.
