This thread blew up.

Look, I have been trout fishing so many times when a boat just 20 yards from me is one after the other and no one on my boat can buy a bite. Oh well….

We have all been there. But here is the deal. I, personally wouldn't move on top of someone but i get while people do it. I also recognize, that some buy big motors and/or leave the dock earlier et to get to their preferred spot. So they feel like that spot is theirs.

Like anything, there is a way to handle yourself. You can often accomplish the same thing by not being a dick.

I have had people come close to me….cast and damn near hit my boat. I simply yell at them " you damn near knocked the paint off your jig head" and start laughing. Many times this same folks at another spot will waive me over to them if they are catching. You know…return the favor.

Bottom line: No matter what you choose to do or how you choose to handle a situation…….dont be a dick about it and it usually works out.

Its Fishing people……and its suppose to fun for all.

No, I don't know what the hell I'm going to do. The angles are so severe that I can't find a saw big enough to cut them. I've asked everyone I know, but they are just too thick. I even went to a cabinet shop. I think I'm going to have to plane them down, but I would hate to do that because they are so damn nice.

...so basically I don't know what do do.

This is what I had in mind

The boards I got from Sparkplug are about an inch and a half thick, that puts the cutting surface at about 6". I drew it up in cad, the angles are like 12.5 degrees. It's pretty nasty.

Ha, I thought about giving you a call. You helped me out so much already, I didn't want to take up more of your time.

But if you're game, I'd love to male another trip out there. I don't think I have any other options. When I picked those thick boards I didn't forsee this problem. My fault.
