Finally get to pick up my mount from the Taxidermist today.

Taxidermist just called and the 10pt i killed back in the beginning of December is ready to pick up. Pumped. this is the biggest deer I have killed so far and my first shoulder mount. Cant wait to pick it up tonight.

I think im gonna start cutting the horns off big bucks I kill and holding them for a while before I send them to the taxidermist. Im sure it will cost more but I hate only being able to enjoy them a day or two and then they are gone 6 months to a year

Nice. I usually keep the horns of the big ones until the taxi is ready to mount them. Nice to be able to look at them for a while. You can also get them measured before mourning.

your taxidermist should let you take them until he is ready for them
