If he had wound her up any tighter he may have broken the last eye on the rod.

I'm just giving him a hard time. It's exciting. But there were a couple of things that went wrong there to create the perfect storm.

Hate to say it, but this. Should have had that rod tip pulling across, not up.

This too. Tough break. It happens to the best of us.

Not sure about 10 lbs but a hell of a nice one by any man's standard! The ones that get away are always the biggest ones!

I highly doubt a questionable wall paper choice on your computer screen resulted in a lost fish.

That would have made some nice fish fingers.

They got some hawgs in the Stick Marsh. You fish there regularly?

It's FIL home lake, so we fish ever time I go.

farm 13 / stickmarsh
This one was 8.4, and the one he lost was way bigger.

Edit. - 8-4 not 8.4

Thee all catch an release make it a truly magical place. They are building a bigger one next to it called Fellsmere Reservoir, thats going to be amazing. The guy in charge of it has really been focusing on habitat and structure during construction. It has some serious potential. We've been watching them work on it the past few years and it looks so awesome.
