Fed Snapper Season Dates?

Has anyone heard when we can expect federal snapper season this year? I do a big trip every year with friends that come into town and they started asking but I haven't heard anything yet. Figured the OB would know more than me. TIA

Any snapper caught after 5:59AM will need to be turned over to the commercial snapper license holder for that sector.

Last season the dates weren't final until just before the season. ALso we only had nine consecutive days that included one weekend. So most recreational fisherman only got two days

what's that, I've only heard of State season, and when that closes, I didn't even know there was a season. just a 2 a man limit.
