Was sighting in a new scope and getting some practice in for a 3 Gun Match this weekend and saw this little fawn laying under one of the shooting benches. I had been sighting in the new AR scope about 200 yards away when I saw his mom cross the range. Didn't think anything of it. Then went to the pistol range and was setting up and saw him laying there. Decided not to get any pistol practice in today. Let the RO know and they shut down that part of the range for the day. I guess he/her gave up his/her camo for some shady and cool concrete.

I know you weren't there sighting in for hunting, but it's kind of ironic that the safest place sometimes for deer are at a shooting range. Cute little guy

We're going to need an update to see if momma came and got her little one.
Not to ruin things but the sickest feeling in the world is running over one of those little guys while bush hogging. I wanted to throw up.

Yeah we checked this morning and he was gone. I can only guess that his mom came and got him/her. I doubt any varmints got to him. They usually don't make it across the range like a deer does. Coyotes or bobcats are just moving targets.
