I mostly plant common sweet corn but also some silver queen and peaches & cream, this year also tried some kandi corn. Any other I should be trying?

Some of the triple sweet varities are my favorite. Remedy and Obsession II are both top notch.

This is what we plant. Best part about it is that I don't have to worry about killing it with Halex.

Peaches and cream and g90 are runner ups

Merrit falls behind those

I have grown up on P&C and G90 and they haven't failed me yet.

I like silver queen as my #1, but agree it's ridiculously silky. It's worth it to me though.

G90 is excellent as well.

Merrit silks very easily, but it's not the same caliber of corn as the first 2. I cut 300 ears of Merrit off the cobb a few weeks ago, and gave it all away. I don't give away silver queen or G90.

Is it possible to grow corn in a raised bed? How much would you have to plant?

Yes it's possible but just say you get two ears of corn off one stalk planted 12in. apart would your raised beds be big enough to plant that much corn

That's what I thought. I'd love to plant some though.

I grow some in buckets with fair success. It helps to hand pollinate when you only have a few stalks.

Yes. Won't be a problem. Plant them about 8 inches apart in a row.
