Need to get the boat out and run it. I heard the old bonaventures ramp is open. Has anybody been on false river since they lowered it. Is it ok to run in the lake. Where is the best place to put in water depth wise.

I was at a house on False River yesterday, had about 5ft of bank showing. I am not sure about the conditions of the launches around the lake. You could always run up to old river in bachelor and run it there.

Yes old bonaventures launch is open. Pay box on left side of launch. That's where the heavy equipment that's dredging river is launching so you should be fine. They only lowered the lake about 3 ft so you are good running river.

If you're in Denham, why not just launch at Fred's in PortVincent and run it there?

Yes, cross the bridge and follow the "Port of Baton Rouge" exit. Just launch and go up the Intercoastal canal. It will take you all the way to the town of Plaquemine, Bayou Pigeon, etc.

excelent place to run. really good ramp and plenty parking. if +24' the landing can get a little small but good straight deep water to run and test
