Purchased a new boat recently and would like to check out False River. Question is, where to put in at False River that has a nice launch as well as a deck/pier to board after launching? Seems Morrison Parkway public launch has what i'm looking for, however I don't see where you'd park the vehicle and trailer afterwards?

Any help/suggestions are appreciated.

Outdoor Board

Anyway, there's plenty of parking at that boat launch.

The public launch is very busy. If you're new to this, try Jim's Landing. 3 bucks. Plenty of parking and you can take your time.

Needs to be moved to outdoor board.

Jims
LA Express on the southeast end
Sand bar or something use to be bonventures
Public landing- they have boat parking and nice public restroom

When water was low the only landings open were old bonventures and public landing.

Now I am having an old person moment in the good old days.
(Got to play the days of your life soap opera music while reading)

I can remember when the South flats had huge Lilly pads and you could nail bass off a plastic frog.
Or
You could catch all the brim you wanted in April off the shells on the North Flats.
Or
fish the docks with false river worm and pick up a few bass.
Or
One time a kitty jumped in my new ranger boat off their dock and thanked me by doing #2 on my bench seat. That sucked.
Or
But live crawfish at bonventures and go to lighthouse and fish for stripers and they had boats all the way around you.

Those were the days.

Is the public landing that you refer to the one near satterfields across from the Catholic church?

Yes.

Overflow parking is the vacant lot next to the church.
