I have a 2010 F150 4x4 Larait. I use the 4 wheel drive often because of work. When I'm in 4 wheel high the traction control kicks in when the tires spin. So I turn off the traction control. This only delays the time it takes the TC to kick in by about 3-5 seconds it seems. I had to pull a trailer accross a muddy field and the damn TC kept kicking on even though I had it off slowing down my momentum. I had to keep pumping the gas to keep the TC from kicking in. How can I get TC to turn completely off???

Then I don't think you can turn it off

Alot of the new 4x4 systems will take TC out only when you put it in 4 wheel low.

IIRC, the FX4 and some 4x4 models lock the rear in 4-high when you pull out the knob

Correct. Pull the knob to lock the rear diff. It's pretty awesome

ETA: all FX4 and 4X4 "off-road" packages

Maybe these guys have an answer: LINK

Sounds like if you hold the button for 5 seconds it'll shut it off up to 35mph

Hold the TC button down for a few seconds, it will also turn off "AdvanceTrac"

ETA: see previous post
