Don't you have a kayak? Put in where the road to Elmers makes a hard right, paddle out to the pass side. That's what I plan to do when I can make it down there. You'd be the only person wade fishing that area. About a 1 mile paddle versus about a 2.5 mile walk.

Well the inlaws are coming and we are about 20 people deep at this point including small kids. Could bring a boat around to carry icechest, tent, etc but might be more of a hassle. Prob just end up going to beach on the GI side now. This blows

State park may be a better fit for your group. I would atleast target one of the ends of the island. Closer to the passes
