Elmers Island Surf bite? Crab bite?

Heading there this weekend. Are the fish and/or crabs biting in the surf?

Not sure about the fish but the crabs depend on if you went to Artie’s the night before

The guys that ride around on golf carts on the island and stalk guys catching fish. I had a guy run up on me last week while I was on a good bite. He actually walked right beside me and stopped 20-30' right in front of me (where I was casting). Then he wanted to have a conversation after he ruined the bite. If my 5 year old wasn't with me I may have slapped him with my fishing pole. I'm not sure if it's simple ignorance or they just don't care.
