Elmer's Island- Is it surf fishing time yet?

Anyone reports from down there or has the no vehicle traffic rule ran off everyone?

My dad went yesterday. Caught a couple of really nice trout. Said the lack of vehicle traffic was the best thing that has ever happened to the beach.

I went Friday, and the water was pea soup. They have basically made a huge parking lot at the end of the access road. I never drove the length of the beach so it won't impact me any. Looking to get back soon. It's time.

I think I am going to give it a shot Tuesday. Going to start with topwater and then maybe move to live shrimp under popping cork.
