I have an Obsession Evolution and it's the best bow I've ever owned. It's wall and valley are similar to Elite. The draw cycle is as smooth, but it stacks a little earlier (as is expected with a 20fps faster IBO). The Obsession is quieter and the finish is far superior to Elite. I also prefer a narrow grip so the Obsession feels better in my hand. I have no experience with the Prime as it wasn't on my radar when buying.

The Elite is an awesome bow, but with the Obsession you get a faster bow with, in my opinion, no real negative trade off.

Go Matthews Baw.
No Cam HTR , No Can HTX you wont regret it except for the price.

Two of my buddies have the Elite Impulse 31 and both seem to really like them. I've shot both and they seem to be smooth and forgiving bows. I'm a Bear fan and will be for the foreseeable future.

Mathews Halon 6 baw. I love mine.

However I do like the Rize over the others mentioned.Rize would have been my pick if it wasnt for the Halon. I love the AVS yoke system on the Mathews.

Then Impulse and Obsession. Impulse just came out with the colorway of original realtree that looks great.

He may also regret the fact that he would have to draw 70lbs on the No Cams to achieve the same speed that he'd get out of the DefCon 6 at 50lbs

Thats true but how fast do you really need.
I backed my HTR down to 60 and can group 60 yard shots all day and hold over as long as I want.

I guess it depends on how heavy of an arrow you want to shoot. It's pretty nice to shoot 450 grain arrows at over 300fps while only drawing 65lbs.

For hunting I favor a smooth draw, solid wall, and a generous valley over speed, but if I can get it all in the same bow then it's a no brainer for me.

I agree also with that. Im running Black Eagle 350s and really like the results.
The No Cam draw is what got me liking them so much. Smooth as silk.
