As to DU, those nets they built at the Arky border to short stop the ducks that belong to us in LA are the problem. Until the nets come down i can't support them.

To say that the Feds, LWF and DU don't spend money where Joe Blow hunter goes is inaccurate

The landowner has the control over the PRIVATE LAND. That's the way it's supposed to be.

DU is joke. And the people that buy into their scam are either dumb or blind. Or both.

Right. So after I decide to place my 5000 acres into this easement who pays to turn my farm/pasture into "ducky land?"

Way to stay on point.

I've stayed exactly on point. The point is what the increase in price is being used for: Private land.

I'm not sure what you're struggling with there Art?

I don't see anything specifically on state funds, but this may help those who thinks DU doesn't spend money locally

I don't dispute DU spending money locally or not. The increase in price is to benefit easements on private land. That's a load of crap.

'tis no surprise that a Greenie can't understand complicated things. The vast majority of land where ducks nest and raise their young is private. Sometimes you have to encourage private landowners to take marginal land out of crop production, and leave it wild so ducks can breed. Ultimately, Louisiana hunters benefit most because all those ducks fly down here in the winter. I bowhunt on two refuges, Bayou Cocodrie in Ferriday and Lac Ophelia in Marksville that were partially acquired with duck stamp monies.

Last I checked, they don't "turn" anything into "ducky" land, they target ducky land for the easement.

Holy shite. Do you really not understand this? Some of the best wintering habitat in La. Is private land. Do you think the landowners are going to protect this land out of the goodness of their hearts?

Wonderful. if they'd spend that $10 increase in bettering the habitat on those refuges and acquiring additional ones I might support it.

But no, lets increase the price 66% to help the rich landowners.

Just because you own land, you are rich?

Who else will preserve this habitat? You think 100 million ducks are going to fit on the game reserves?
