I don't know anyone who has ever done it, but have heard shots coming from behind the burned out bridge. I can't even find the regulations on it.

Same here. I've heard a shooting that way and in the cove by the new bridge on H. Strange Road.

See you there in the morning bah!
JK. I'll be in Holmwood swatting mosquitos and hopefully a few teal.

Indian Creek falls within the Alexander State Forest WMA so that's where you need to look for regs. You can't set up on the recreation area so be sure to check the map and know the boundaries.

We hiked down the power line on the north side and tried to hunt that swamp. There’s about 3 foot of water and 2 foot of compression from all the cypress leaves and other debris. Saw a few woodies but not worth the huffing and puffing. Plus there weren’t many holes in the canopy. Beautiful place but won’t be going back. Not sure if you can hunt the main lake.

I know a few guys that hunt out there regularly, haven’t killed much so far. And we have had better days, numbers wise, than we have in a long time in Cenla.

I live on the south end of the lake and would love to hook up with someone and bum a hunt or two. Do you know if anyone hunts in the area on the east side of the lake where Martin Springs Road runs close the edge of the lake? Looks like you could park close by and walk down the lake with a few decoys and a hand full of switch cane and kill some time looking for ducks to drop in.

Crazy, never heard of anyone duck hunting out there. That old frame of a blind still at the south end?

Not sure, but there's one on the north end. I fish all Winter and have never seen anyone hunting the main lake.

There was a high school tournament this morning. Those poor boys.

Heard a few shots earlier this morning. Think they were in the south end, burned out bridge area.

There was a dead one on the side of the road by the bridge on Martin Springs, just past the launch. I guess the guys that are always fishing from the bridge didn't want to deal with all them bones.

Heard a good bit of shooting this morning. The south end cove by the new bridge on H. Strange and it sounded like some shooting by the hatchery water intake area.
