Is the 1100 a wingmaster?

C'mon man. Berettas have a long and reliable history in all sorts of nasty conditions. Maybe the gas shotguns of old had issues in severe weather, but that's no longer really an issue.
Benellis are fantastic shotguns in their own right. And some people prefer the way an inertia driven gun handle (usually lighter fwiw). But weather conditions are no longer a driving factor.

Picked up a new Win SX3 in MOBL at Bowie for $849. then got a $100. rebate. Hard to beat $749. for a 3-1/2".

Had it happen to me, waaaaaaay back in '80 with a Rem 1100. Been using pumps, recoil/inertia, & O/U ever since. Haven't had it happen since.
Not doubting the Beretta is a fine shotgun, but waterfowling can be hard on your gun. My shotguns have been used as an emergency paddle, been dunked several times, never had an issue shooting.
