Any gardeners here have a mist or drip system set up for their garden watering? I have my garden all set up, would like to set something up that's pretty simple, any ideas?

I was looking at my garden this morning wondering if I will ever have to water it this year.

I used this one for my beds and garden. It's inexpensive and it can be easily customized to your needs.

In what part of the world are you that today, the first time we've gone 2 days without rain since Mardi Gras, you are worried about watering your garden?

But to answer your question, I have a 2" trash pump I pump water from a pond to flood my garden when it needs it. It's an acre though. When I used to do my tomato garden in my backyard I had a sprinker (the kind that go around and around like tik tik tik tik tik tiktiktiktiktiktiktik) mounted on a pole about 6' off the ground in the center of the garden. I'd just walk on the porch, turn the water on (left the hose connected except when cutting grass), and drink beer while watching it go around.

I just run drip hoses under the mulch around each plant and have an automatic timer during the dry periods for the summer. I just have 3 4x8 raised beds though, if you have something larger, you might could build a mist system with some piping.

Haven't started it yet, generally only need to start it in July

I have used drip systems in my garden for years. I get everything from Sprinkler Warehouse. They are in Houston, have everything that you could possibly want and you can get next day delivery via ordinary UPS shipping due to the proximity, at least in North Louisiana.

Soaker hoses are fine if you want to grow as much grass as garden plants.
