If you had unlimited funds, what would be the ultimate hunting rifle and optic setup

I'd be perfectly content with a Sako 85 Classic Deluxe in 7mm Mag, and a Leupold vx6, 3x18/44

Honestly i could pick about 10 scopes that i'd be happy with.

I don't have a need for a nice rifle, but if you are giving me an unlimited budget, I am getting a double barrel from England...

Blaser R8 with a .243 barrel, .338 Blaser mag barrel, and a .500 Jeffery barrel. Optics would all be Swarovski Z8i (1-8 on .500, and 2.3-18 on the .338 and .243).

On an unlimited budget, somebody would be building me a 100% custom one off piece of fricking beautiful, tack driving, heirloom quality hardwood and blued bolt action hardware. Likely in .30-06, as boring as that would be.

The glass would be whatever the most expensive 3-9x40 scope there is.

If it didn't have to be practical, I'd be getting an English double rifle in a safari caliber, basically just call H&H and tell them to build me the nicest rifle they've ever built. I'll wait 10 years for it.

This ^

I have a soft spot for doubles.
I'd have to do heavy thinking on caliber. Something with a rimmed base. Caliber ranging from 30-40, preferably 33 or 35 caliber.

Other than the double rifle, I kind of almost own the exact rifle I'd want if I was a millionaire. Remington 700 CDL in 270 with a Leupold VX III 3.5-10 X 40.
I guess with disposable funds I'd have the action blue printed, custom barrel and more expensive wood than it already has.

Weatherby Mark V Deluxe. Either in a 257 wby mag or a 300 wby mag. Depends if I want it for big game or whitetail. If I had the money to buy a rifle with no budget I assume I would be going on many exotic hunting trips so probably the 300.
Scope would be a Vortex Razor HD. I'm just a huge fan of vortex.

The skill and craftsmanship to build such a fine combination of metal and wood.

Custom rifle with Surgeon action, Bartlein barrel, Jewell trigger and Manners T6A stock chambered in 7mm Rem Mag. Swarovski X5 on top. That would come to about $8000.

I plan to get a Sako instead and a Swaro z6 which is comes to a little over $4000

The appeal is strictly in the craftsmanship that goes into a top tier double rifle. They are works of art.
