Does anyone own this or anything similar by another brand?

Looking for something that would be good to wear as an outer shell or layer it as a base layer under my wading jacket.
Also, is the entire thing waterproof or just the upper part?

Nothing drake makes is waterproof. I don't think I'll buy another piece of their clothing.

It will most likely start falling apart within the first season. Overpriced garbage.

I use a thick scarf that My dear Mom made for me. Rap around my neck, the rest down my jacket. Locks all heat in. Been using it for over 25 years. At my age and balled head, I need everything to help keep me warm.

1) no part of it is waterproof
2) I wear one just like that all during the season, just bring your jacket if it rains

mine is at least 10'yrs old and going strong
It's my favorite pullover by far

Yea their MST stuff tends to be too hot for most hunts in Louisiana, especially if you're at all active during the process of setting up, hunting, packing up, etc.

Then to top it off they have completely bastardized the McAlisters name.

pull over

I like this one.

Filson clothing doesn't fit well like its not cut for my body type. Always felt like it was your grandfathers clothing company. Just not my cup of tea.

I've got one similar that is about 10 years old. The neck is long enough to pull up over my face and it's like double walled fleece. Very warm, but not waterproof at all.
If I'm moving much it can get too hot, but it's ideal for deer hunting in cold weather.

Same. If I could go back, I'd take the money I've spent on their jackets and buy something like Sitka or the likes.

I have this jacket and really like it. I love the camo pattern and the jacket itself is waterproof and good for cool mornings by itself or layered underneath.
