There is no way for you to know that. It is amazing what a little marketing can do.

I understand if your dog has a allergy/medical condition, but otherwise you are throwing your money away.

Exactly, and a good diet is not enough to make up for superior genitics. Besides, I see fat people eating diet food/drinks all the time so I try to stay away from it.

On a side note, how many of you dog food snobs stop by a fast food joint from time to time?

Costco brand. 40 pound bag. $30 bucks 4 stars and the pup loves it

Kirkland Signature Nature’s Domain is a grain-free kibble using a moderate amount of salmon or turkey meals as its main sources of animal protein, thus earning the brand 4 stars. Highly recommended.

I have had my dog on a bunch of different foods to just try them out. During the summer I feed him Orijen and in the winter I switch to EVO Red Meat.

They are both expensive, but you don't have to feed him as much as other foods. I have him eating around 2.5 cups a day and he hasn't run out of energy yet. It makes his coat one of the best I have ever felt.

Agree with this. Feed my two shepherds Acana Ranchlands. It is expensive but it is relly good. Male weighs just under 100 and female is upper 80's and they eat 4 cups ea per day.

And there is no way of knowing that either. I mean I honestly don't care what anyone feeds their dogs. BUT, dogs are a lot like humans. Sure there are some freaks of nature that don't need to eat healthy, but most athletes have to eat well.

Dogs are a lot like humans. If you eat well and exercise, you will stay healthy and energetic. If you don't, then you can become lethargic and sedentary.

Look, all I can say is that form over 20+ years of dog training and handling, I can tell a difference my older (4+ years of age) dogs when I change their diet to a shitty food.

I used to use this when I had a lot more dogs because it was a hell of a lot more economical than other "better" kibble. I found the results were good, but there stools seemed to be more frequent and I had to feed them a bit more to keep their weight on.
