Does any one like the push button start cars??

I have had two rentals this year that I left running that were push button start.
I guess I am so used to keys that I don't think about the car running if I have the key in my pocket.
Do you like push button start?

Wife had one a few years ago. She liked it. I am not opposed to push button.

Purchased a new 2016 F-150 with the push button start. I like it so far because I can leave my keys in my pocket. Even when opening the door the key fob can remain in my pocket.

How long did it take you to remember to cut it off? Those little cars I can't hear running.
Do you carry you other keys with that big ole FOB on the ring too?

How do you just get out of your car and leave it running? Unless you started driving last week it should be pretty engrained in your brain to turn the car off before you get out of it.
Disclaimer, my dad has an ecoboost (used to drive diesels) and he has left it running because he sat in his car before getting out and didn't hear it due to being used to diesels

Easy. I put the FOB in the console and stick it in my pocket like I do my keys and get out. My mind says I have my keys the car can't be running.
They ought to make the thing shut down if the fob is a certain distance away.
I can't hear it running either.

Just bought a new taco Friday and I keep reaching for the keys in the ignition but they not there. Kinda hard to get use to but guess it shouldn't take long. Haven't left it running yet though. [/img]

I did it in my 2015 Ecoboost weekly. Ford was smart and made the truck honk if you walk away with keys and truck on though.
New work car (2017 Fusion) is same way. To make it even worse, it has a dial shifter. Been many a times I go from reverse to park when meaning to turn to drive.

We have a ram truck with the dial. I hate driving it. I do the same thing.

Seems like you should be more conditioned to reach for the keys to turn the car off and then realize you have to push the button. I have never just got out of the car while it's running.

I'm not a big fan of them. My wife's Expedition has it and I'd rather have a normal ignition, but I'm also really resistant to change. Plus thieves are finding new ways to steal cars without needing the key fob.

Wife's new Yukon has that and I really like that you can just keep the fob in your pocket. Really like just walking up to the car and not having to dig the key out of my pocket to open the door. Another nice feature is there is no longer a gas cap to remove when filling up with fuel.

My wifes new Sienna has it and it is slick for a primary vehicle.
The thing I don't like is if you need access to three cars then you need a pocketful of fobs with you.
The old way I just had 3 keys on my keychain with no bulk (and I used to get get flat steel copies made for an even thinner key).
I like a key with an optional fob but those appear to be going the way of the dodo.

I won't buy a vehicle without it. Too convient.

If you midplace the fob who can open your door and crank it for you?
The battery went dead on my wife's FOB on her Hyundai and she had it towed to the dealer thinking there was something wrong with car. It was a Sunday.

Recently was with the wife in her car as my truck was filthy and full of hunting shite and went shopping for my sons Christmas presents (first mistake).
As I really don't care for her car she drove, she says let me get out here and you go to Academy while I get some stuff for the girls from the Mall (At this point I have escaped the mall and am simply gun shopping, hell yeah)
Walk out of academy with two shotguns and a buggy full of shite only to realize said RFD equipped fob is across town in the wife's purse and I cant start shite.
Neither Uber nor Taxi's will let you in with two shotguns and two cases of ammo for some strange reason.
Not a fan at all of push to start

Wife's car beeps real loud if she gets out with the fob in her purse while car is running.

If I ever get in it again, I will do far more than beep loudly if she gets out with the fob again.
