Do Game Cameras Work Through Glass?

Has anyone here ever set up a game cam to work through a window?...

I believe they do. Though I'd imagine the sensitivity would be diminished.

It would probably work during the day. But, at night, assuming it uses a flash, you're just going to get the reflection off the glass. I don't know jack about game cameras, so if they're infrared and don't use a flash, ignore me.

Yeah if the camera has a flash it would blowout the picture. I remember that from my homebrew film gamecameras circa 2000. You had to use separate pieces of glass to cover the lens and flash or the light would "travel" through the glass and you would get whiteout. With infrared, it may not be a problem.

Here's what you do. ~ Set up your camera behind the window. That night go outside and walk in front of the camera at different distances. Review your results.

the glass is lightly tinted...I can see through it at night, though.
