FYI, it cost me ~$60 to fill up and I get ~750 miles on a tank. Oil change every 10k.

Jetta tdi?

My dad has a jetta gasser because he's on the road all the time and it gets ~32 mpg. However, he wishes he'd have got the tdi.

It's not really blown up. Shot u-joints on the back drive shaft from all my log skidding.

I'm not sure I want to swing the initial cost of the TDI though. I'd love to go that route, I just don't know if I can.

U interested in going the van route? There's plenty of good priced vans with a v6 out there.

Welcome to the club. About to get motor number 4 put in my truck. Apparently all used engines don't make compression and only get 100psi to the injectors

Just look for a used Jetta tdi standard. The Toureg diesel has been out for years now

They cost too much. I'm not spending $20k + on something I really don't even want.

100psi injectors??????????????????????

Does somebody not know how a diesel works?

To pull heavy stuff and last a long time.

I don't like diesels. They weigh too much and cost too much.

IIRC, it is supposed to be at 30k psi on each one.

Last engine was white smoking at startup and not making compression, so I am thinking rings
