My wife and I just bought a 93 yr old pharmacy in Lake Charles and the seller wanted us to have the office desk which was his fathers. We’re not sure how old it is, but we want to do it justice and have it fully restored. Does anyone know a person who does desk Restoration work within 2-3 hour drive from Lake Charles?

What kind of desk? Roll top, drop leaf front or regular type with large flat surface top, drawers, etc.?

What kind of wood? How bad is the finish on it? Any woodworking repairs needed to be done?

If it's an antique, you may not want to have it fully restored, but rather just cleaned to save the original patina. Sometimes restoring stuff greatly reduces the overall value of the piece.

Post some pics to let us see what it looks like. Detailed pics of any repairs like loose drawer construction, missing trims if applicable, deep scratches on surfaces, etc.

I've done my fair share of furniture refinishing, building, etc., but I'm in N.O.
