I have a quartered deer sitting In the ice chest I need to get taking care of.

Any places around Ascension Parish you would recommend?

I only have ever used Indian Mound Grocery, but I don't feel like driving that far out.

I've used T-Waynes in Gonzales and it was really good. I also have a buddy in St. Amant that does it. I'd have to get his number. Same family that owns D&J's grocery.

Reno's seafood in Sorrento does it but I don't hunt so I haven't personally used them to process a deer.

They do however make some pretty damn good homemade sausage. I've tried their smoked pork sausage but not the venison. If you haven't tried any I would certainly recommend giving their sausage a shot.

Terry has been processing for at least 8-10 years (that I know of). He works at a plant, but he does this on the side and has his son and a friend who help. He does some great smoked sausage as well as other items such as ground meat mixes, jerky, etc.

Tee Wayne's is right by the house. I used them for the first time this year and was impressed
