Supply and demand. Just wait until the next gun control activists event... Legislation will be written and prices will jump again. Ill pay for eerything i have by selling half
Then you are the epitome of a douchebag.

I don't hate on anybody hoarding up on ammo, but hoarding .22 is pretty weird to me.
I have 1,500 rounds of .22. I will never shoot that many rounds in the next 2 years. By the time I need some more I'm sure it will be easier to come by. I don't see the point in overpaying right now on something you will won't run out of by the time you need it next (at least with .22, bc they will never ban them).

Douchebag? He is merely taking advantage of supply side economics. He is just being a capitalist which is what this great country was founded upon. It isn't his fault that people are too stupid to realize they are paying double the price. It is kind of like Cheaper Than Dirt jacking up their prices during the crisis. I won't ever shop there again because I would rather spend money with someone that was being reasonable at the time but more power to CTD for making a buck when they could. Same thing here except this is a private individual. Make the money while you can. I am seriously thinking about buying a shitload of old school lightbulbs to sell on ebay in about six months when you can't get them anymore.

so what should .22 cost, what does it cost now, and what is a good deal now?

Douchebags buy ammo with the intent to re-sell it rather than shoot it. Congrats on "playing the market" though and have fun counting your extra $20 all the way to the bank.

its not scarce
its not hard to find
its not expensive
i have bought bricks online as recent as last week for $22, and buckets of 1400 for $60. Both with free shipping. I probably have over 10thousand rounds of 22 ammo, and have bought roughly 8k of that since feb. ITS THERE

I think by "douchebag" he meant "unreasonable".
You won't buy from CTD because they were, "just being a capitalist which is what this great country was founded upon". That doesn't make any sense.
And to the OP, I agree. I don't like buying my shite on line, I just like to go down to the store and pick up a brick. It's because of people being unreasonable douchebags, and, "just being a capitalist" that I can't just go down to the store and pick up what I want.
And really for no reason other than fear mongering.

Thanks bap. Obviously my post was in jest (somewhat).
When the government says "you can't have that" they effectively increase demand by an astronomical margin, even if supply is high. And once the supply runs out and the demand is there, prices go sky high. Simple economics...
The government getting involved is the extra factor that doesn't play into regular economics.

$20.00 x 50 times is a cool grand. Still don't see how it makes the guy a douchebag.
An example of a douchebag would be like a billionaire buying up all the ammo available and then just destroying it so nobody else can have it.

Hence my "Thanks Obama" response. Well, that and when he said he wanted new legislation enacted.

Don't know about y'all, but I lost all my guns in the Mississippi River a couple years ago.
