2014 Nautic Star 224 its with 200 yammy 8 hours (demo), following options:
Lowrance 7" xds
6" atlas jack plate
101 iPilot
on board charger
and other small miscellaneous stuff.
It is basically loaded except for a power pole.
They offered pre tt&l price of 47.5K, I am thinking of asking him to throw in a bimini and a couple other small things and offering 44K. Am I going to piss them off or not?

You should read •The art of negotiation" or a similar book
Who cares if you piss them off? How would that piss them off? I would be in the 30s opening up

I negotiate every day on things i am familiar with. I know that being completely irrational with an opening offer usually does not set a positive tone, if you actually want to achieve an end result.
Similar boats to this are "listing" with other dealers in the mid 50's, so I think the 30's may be too aggressive. Am I wrong?
That being said, new boat pricing is not something I deal with every day. I hear you, I should likely start lower, maybe around 41? . It is 30 degrees out after all....
Anyone familiar with these boats know if it is a good deal?

How can a 22' NS be 47k, even with all those add ons? I like those boats but they aren't that nice.

the XTS is a significantly nicer boat that the standard "sport" or "bay" models. tons of standard options already on the boat.

47 is a good price. 44 isn't a bad offer, all the can do is say no

You bought one of these didn't you?
Posted on 11/15/14 at 8:03 am to KABoss02
No I ended up buying a used 22ft skeeter

Dealer threw in one small option, Bimini at cost, no movement on the price. Any suggestions?

I have, heard a lot of not so great things, if they had been around longer I would likely take the jump, nice looking boat.

Ride quality, stress cracks at transom, hull delamination, etc. too much noise from people I trust. I wish the brand well, just not ready to take what I feel like is a gamble with that much money. Love the layout, wish I had not heard all that.

Yes, and yes. Better for Texoma for striper and will pull to coast every now and then.
