CV Joint replacement in BR

Pretty sure my passenger side cv joint is bad on my 09 Silverado. What's the normal cost to replace one including labor? Can someone recommend a body shop around BR? I'm not going to replace it myself considering I know nothing about mechanics.

I don't think a body shop is where you want to go. Generally, they only work on the body of the truck not the internals.
Are you hearing a popping sound when you turn the wheel far? Have you looked under the truck to see if the boots are worn out?
If both boots are bad, it will be in your best interest to replace both at the same time. If the left boot is still intact, you can probably just replace the boot and get several more years out of it.
I would shop online for a price for 2 CV Joints for it to get an idea of the cost. Then call local repair shops and see what it'll cost including parts. Get the itemized parts/labor breakdown.
If you can save $75+ dollars online (after shipping) buy them and let the shop put them on. I agree that you don't want to tackle it yourself. It's not that hard or all that expensive to change them, but were talking about the steering, and you dont want to eff that up if you don't know what you are doing.
IIRC I had it done for less than $500 on a car a while back. No idea how the prices would compare

I replied to your thread on the OT.
K&M on siegan should fix you up for a good price.
Shouldn't be more than $4-500

You could probably do it yourself for much less.

You don't have cv joints on a rear wheel drive. It is a busted shock, bushing tie rod end, etc.

he does if he has 4wd.
call a few places first and get quotes. dont pay any where near 4-500 if you do your getting shafted.
call firestone nearest to you. they are good on prices and take good care of their customers.

Yeah guess 4-500 is a little high, I always just changed mine myself so im not sure what they charge for labor.
Part shouldn't be more than 150 though.
