Going to cut brush wed. I just bought a new Stihl trimmer with kombi system. Trying to avoid the old cane knife. So which attachment would be better for cutting roso cane? Square blade brush cutter or hedge trimmer?

I used some kitchen shears during teal season b/c ma'chette went MIA. They worked surprisingly well. Whatever work, right.

I have a battery operated pole saw. I can collapse it to about 4 ft. That would work better than a brush cutter?

Hardest part for us is finding roseau. We cut it down around Manchac and trailer it to our blind about an hour and a half away. Maybe we're not that bright.

Have used both. without a doubt a heavy duty, commercial hedge trimmer. I recommend Shindaiwa
