Any reports? I am fishing in a tournament tomorrow. It was scheduled for the river but that isnt happening so they moved it to Cross.

I usually fish the river or Caddo but have never fished the "dead sea" as they call it around here.

Any pointers are greatly appreciated.

Dead Sea seems a tad harsh. I have always had luck in the places I catch fish.

I may be fishing said tourny tomorrow.

Cross is a junk fisherman's paradise. If I were you, I would stick to the East end of the lake, since you've never been there. The West end can be good, but the fish tend to be concentrated and you can waste lots of time if you don't have them located. Cover water with a square bill and a TX rig on windy banks (North bank tomorrow). Fish everything you come to docks, trees, rip rap. On Cross, you can't fish too shallow. I love that lake, it takes a pounding but almost always produces. It's a lot more consistent than Caddo. Good luck.

speaking of cross lake, anyone know who is building that giant house on the east side? went out on the lake last weekend for the first time in a year or so and noticed it for the first time.

They've been building that thing forever. It's a freaking castle. I sail that lake weekly. Don't know where the fish are precisely, but if the Thursday night tournaments are any indication it's almost all on the west end because right at dark there's about a million bass boats screaming back to the ramp to weigh in.
