What's the going rate right now for #1s and #2s per dozen?

$20-$28 depending on where you get them.

I checked the Seafood Shed in Golden Meadow last Tuesday.
$37 for a dozen 1's
$14 for a dozen 2's
Or 5 dozen 2's for $60
ETA: I was just checking out of curiosity while buying some shrimp. The guy across the street from them often sells straight run probably for a little cheaper.

My father said they had crabs weekend in Abbeville, Richards, and they were as much as $11 a piece. He said they were amazing.

For us, we save our trout heads and use that for bait. sooo
gas for boat - $5-$10
launch fee - $5
gas for truck - $10
so for a little less than $30 at these prices, I need a dozen to break even.

Between Wednesday and Friday of Last week Father in law caught 68 nice fat crabs (mostly 1's) off his pier on Bayou Lacroix in BSL with just 3 traps.
we go most Saturdays to mow his yard...if prices stay that high...I may go put the traps out on Wednesdays every week.
